I am Karen Ashton, the founder of Holistic Therapies Training.
A warm welcome!
I wanted a business that could support me & my family financially and to be able to work around looking after my two boys.
I wanted to be able to earn an income, while I was at home looking after my boys.
I have always had a passion for aromatherapy, and in 2003, I enrolled on an aromatherapy course.
I then set up an eBay shop selling essential oils.
I created my 'aromatherapy lab' in my utility room, and I loved it.
I also started adding other therapies to my skillset, with reflexology and other holistic therapies, setting up my therapy business at the same time.
In 2007, I qualified as a further education teacher, setting up my own accredited training school.
I wanted to pass my knowledge and passion onto others.
My training school, later became a VTCT approved exam centre, and my 'academy' was born.
